Trinidadian writer Patrice Grell Yursik created Afrobella.com to celebrate the unique beauty of women. Her blog shines a light on natural hair and all the skin tones and sizes women come in. Afrobella has been featured in Essence, Glamour and Fast Company. She’s done campaigns for Urban Decay and Lancôme. In 2011 Afrobella partnered with MAC Cosmetics to create the “All Of My Purple Life” lipglass — it sold out in a week. Afrobella was listed in Ebony Magazine’s Power 100, and is in the Black Weblog Awards Hall of Fame. She’s affectionately called the Godmother of Brown Beauty Blogging.
